Terms of use
Last updated: 30 September 2026
These terms are the rules for using CyberNet Training ("we", "us"). By using the website you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Using CyberNet Training
- Without an account, you can play the first lesson of every course, and everything about getting help after something goes wrong online.
- A free account opens any lesson in any course, up to 3 new lessons a day (quizzes count). Replaying a lesson you've finished, and the help lessons, never count. The day starts at midnight in your time zone, which can change once a week.
- CyberNet Pro, a paid subscription (see below), makes lessons unlimited and adds certificates.
- Use the site for learning. Please don't try to break it, overload it, or get into other people's accounts.
Accounts
- You must be 13 or older to make an account. Younger learners can play as guests.
- Keep your sign-in email safe, and choose a display name that isn't your real full name and isn't rude.
- You can delete your account at any time on the Account page.
- We may close accounts that break these terms.
CyberNet Pro
- What it is: a subscription that opens every module of every course. The current prices are on the Pro page, in Australian dollars.
- Who can buy it: you need an account, so you must be 13 or older. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or carer before you subscribe.
- Free trial: your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged if you cancel before it ends. Otherwise the plan starts when the trial ends.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically (every month or every year, the plan you chose) until you cancel.
- Cancelling: cancel any time on your Account page under Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the time you've paid for, and you're never charged again.
- Refunds: we don't give refunds for part of a month or year you've already started, except where the law says we must. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply, and nothing in these terms takes them away. If something's gone wrong, email us.
- If a payment fails: we keep Pro on while the payment is tried again (up to about two weeks). If it still fails, the subscription ends. Your progress is never deleted.
- Price changes: if a price changes, we'll tell you before it applies to you, so you can cancel first.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us.
- Early users: some accounts get Pro free for 30 days as a thank-you. No card is needed, and it simply ends; nothing is charged.
- Deleting your account cancels any subscription straight away.
Founding Member (one-off purchase)
When it's offered, Founding Member is a single payment for CyberNet Pro, for the first 50 buyers.
- What you get: every Pro feature on your account, for as long as CyberNet Training runs. It isn't a subscription: you pay once, and nothing renews or is charged again. If CyberNet Training ever closes, Founding Member ends with it.
- Who can buy it: you need an account (13 or older), and it's one per account. It belongs to that account and can't be moved to another one. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or carer before you buy.
- Already subscribed? It isn't offered while you have a subscription or a free trial.
- A parent can pay: a learner can send a parent or carer a one-time link. The parent opens it on their own device, with no account, and pays on Stripe's page. Founding Member then belongs to the learner's account. A link works for 7 days and pays once.
- Refunds: we don't give refunds for a change of mind, except where the law says we must. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply, and nothing in these terms takes them away: if something's gone wrong, email us. If a Founding Member payment is refunded, its Pro and the Founding Member badge end, and the spot can go to someone else.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us.
- Deleting your account ends Founding Member. It can't be restored on a new account.
Feedback
When you send feedback, please be kind and don't include personal details. By sending it you let us use your ideas to improve the site.
Real devices: stay safe
Taking devices apart in CyberNet Training is a simulation. Don't open real phones, laptops or batteries yourself: ask an adult or a repair shop. Lithium batteries can be dangerous if they're bent, punctured or swollen.
Our content
We work hard to make every lesson accurate, but it's for learning, not professional advice. The lessons, drawings and characters belong to us; please don't copy them to make your own product. You're welcome to link to any lesson.
A few lessons show real photos from Wikimedia Commons. Each one keeps its own open licence and is credited under the photo. Product and brand names that appear in photos or captions belong to their owners. We aren't connected with those companies, and they don't endorse CyberNet Training.
Changes
We may change or stop parts of the website, and we may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top.
Our responsibility
We provide the website "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from using it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
